Ikebana Workshop with Motoko Ishihara
Sunday, June 9 | 1 – 2:30 PM
More than simply putting flowers in a container, ikebana is an art form in which nature and humanity are brought together. Contrary to the idea of floral arrangement as a collection of particolored or multicolored arrangement of blooms, this disciplined form of art often emphasizes other areas of the plant, such as its stems and leaves, and draws emphasis toward shape, line, form.
Join ikebana artist Motoko Ishihara for a demonstration and hands-on workshop that explores the Japanese art of flower arranging.
Space is limited; for reservations call 214-979-6438. $125 for the public, $100 for Friends of the Crow Collection.
