The Crow Collection of Asian Art offers unpaid, part-time internships in the Education Department during the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters, Tuesday through Friday, as well as some nights and weekends for special events.

We have three internship opportunities that we are looking to fill this Spring. The first is for an intern supporting a wide menu of public programs including artist panels, curator talks, film screenings, musical performances and more and our widely popular Crow Collection After Dark and AdventureAsia: Family Days at the Crow. The second intern position we are looking to fill would be working with Interpretation and Community Engagement interacting with schools, docents, and volunteers in efforts to serve a broad and wide community. The third intern position is intended for those individuals who wish to explore a career in museum work and have an interest in audience development, research, and evaluation.

Internship positions and responsibilities include:

Public Programs Internships

  • Assists members of the Education Department in the planning, creation, and implementation of all public programming, including regular events such as Crow Collection After Dark and AdventureAsia: Family Days at the Crow.
  • Assists in the procuring of performers, artists, and other special guests for public programs.
  • Assists in the implementation of all public and special events.
  • Assists in the facilitation of tours when needed.
  • Creates his/her own special project as decided in collaboration with the Education Department.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Interpretation and Community Engagement Internships

  • Assists the members of the Education Department in the research and creation of educational materials, docent materials, and gallery didactic materials as appropriate.
  • Assists in the implementation of evenings for educators, educator workshops, and docent trainings.
  • Assists in the facilitation of tours when needed.
  • Assists in the implementation of all public, school, and special events
  • Creates his/her own special project as decided in collaboration with the Education Department.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Audience Development Internship

  • Assist members of the Education Department in the day to day duties and tasks.
  • Document, observe, and evaluate emerging audiences.
  • Manage reservations for lectures, events, and programs.
  • Assists in the implementation of all public and special events.
  • Creates his/her own special project as decided in collaboration with the Education Department.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Additionally, the Crow Collection offers an inter position in the Marketing and Public Relations department of the museum.

Responsibilities include:

  • Review current advertising outlets and assess marketing strategy
  • Assist with the creation of press releases and media alerts
  • Maintain calendar portion of the website
  • A Work closely with the museum database
  • Create an ideal marketing plan with given budget that fits the needs of the museum.
